| The
FOUNDATION FOXTROTTER HERITAGE ASSOCIATION welcomes anyone
as a member of the association. There are several types of
membership to select from and by becoming a member, each person
is agreeing to abide by Association rules and regulations.
All memberships are based on an annual renewal with the exception
of the "LIFE" membership. Membership years begin
July 1 of each year and continue through June 30 of the following
year.
Renewal
notices shall be placed in the Association Newsletter in
the edition prior to the end of each membership year.
Membership
fees may be paid by way of Pay Pal or personal check.
There
is an additional fee involved when using Pay Pal that is
the responsibility of the member. All checks that are returned
shall accrue a $25.00 NSF fee that must be paid in full
before membership can be reinstated.
Annual
Membership, Life Membership, Family membership and Youth
memberships require a member to be a current owner of at
least one Foundation Foxtrotter. Each annual membership
is entitled to one vote. Family Memberships are entitled
to only one vote.
Associate
membership applicants are not required to own a Foundation
Foxtrotter Associate memberships do not include voting rights.
Youth
memberships apply to only children under age 18.
Youth memberships do not include voting rights.
Corporate
Membership require at ownership of at least one registered
Foundation Foxtrotter in order to maintain voting privileges.
Corporate memberships are allowed only one vote.
Life
memberships are non-transferable. Life memberships may
be paid in 3 consecutive monthly installments. Payments
that are delayed shall result in the funds paid being converted
to annual memberships.

REGISTRATION
INFORMATION
For
any horse to qualify for registration in the Foundation
Foxtrotter Heritage Association it must first qualify via
V-factoring ( see V-factoring page) and must have traceable
extended pedigrees to horses registered with the Missouri
Foxtrotter Horse Breed Association registered prior to 1970.
All
horses must be duly registered with the Missouri Foxtrotter
Horse Breed Association which requires DNA testing. FFHA
membership is required prior to registering horses with
the FFHA.
All
horses registered with the Foundation Foxtrotter Heritage
Association shall be registered as silver medallion horses
on the merit of their V-factor and heritage. Horses who
pass inspection by Foundation Foxtrotter Heritage Association
approved inspectors shall receive a GOLD medallion on their
registration papers as well as the silver.
Gold
Medallion inspections shall include conformation analysis,
as well as gait approval. No use of any devise, tack or
equipment designed to enhance or alter a horse's natural
gait shall be allowed. Horses shall be inspected in hand.
Horses shall be allowed no chemicals, drugs, calmatives
or mood altering medications prior to or during inspection.
Inspectors
decisions are final. Any contest of results of inspection
may be brought to the attention of the Managing Director
or Regional Commissioners by written request for reconsideration.
A vote on the matter must be conducted. If approved the
member may apply for re-inspection of the horse by a second
inspector.
Inspections
may be conducted in person at approved FFHA events, by inspectors
being invited to private residences, or via video footage
with a minimum of 5 minutes tape and a maximum of 30 minutes.
All videos must show the subject horse standing squarely
on all four feet from front, back, and side view with the
head up. The gait portion of the video must be taken from
an angle conducive to seeing the gait and must include enough
strides to establish gait.
Horses
presented for inspection shall be wearing a halter and lead
rope. If shod the horse shall be wearing common keg shoes.
An inspection
fee of $10.00 shall be charged for all video inspections
and for inspections held at events. Inspections requiring
travel to private homes shall include expenses of the inspector
as well as the appropriate fee involved.
Registration
fees may be paid by check or Pay Pal. Pay Pal payment includes
an additional fee that is the responsibility of the applicant.
All returned checks shall accrue a $25.00 NSF fee and the
registration of the horse involved shall be revoked pending
suitable satisfaction of debt.
